More About Adam Riffe
Clinical Interests:
I like working with a wide demographic of mental health and behavioral concerns. My history includes working in the Substance Use/Addiction field for over 9 years as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and as a Mental Health Therapist. I have worked with many individuals with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and believe I have been able to provide helpful and supportive services to my clients.
Clinical Approach:
In my work with clients, I have found being client centered and meeting clients where they are at in their journey as been the best approach when building the therapeutic relationship. In my professional practice, I want to be able to help clients as best as I can so they can navigate the journey of life and have the tools to meet life’s needs. Therapy can be many things to many people and I don’t want there to be any pressure or stigmas impacting your therapeutic journey. I can go at your pace or “we can cut the bs and get to work” so-to-speak.
Therapeutic models I like to use in my practice include, client centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Narrative, and Experiential.
Hobbies:
Video games (Action RPG, FPS, strategy), watching shows and movies (Marvel and DC, Big Bang Theory, Documentaries, Food)
Cooking foods; trying to get good at BBQ
Playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends monthly.
Going to museums, art galleries, zoos.
