More About Alyssa Ellegaard
Clinical Interests:
I provide trauma-informed care for children, teens, and adults who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. I facilitate groups and individual sessions.
Clinical Approach:
I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach as I believe each individual has the natural capacity to come to their own solutions and gain insights from all of life’s experiences. As a therapist, I am here to guide you and teach skills and tools you need to overcome challenges, hardships, and stressors.
I teach CBT and DBT skills, as well as offer art therapy directives for those that have difficulties talking about their inner and outer world experiences. Art therapy is a non-verbal modality that uses the creative process to encourage self-expression and self-regulation.
Hobbies:
I enjoy hiking with my dog, spending time with friends and family, and I like to paint, draw, and read.
