More About Amanda Derewicz

Clinical Interests:

I have experience in working at acute higher levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient, with both adolescents and adults in group, individual, and family therapy sessions. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict and relationship issues, life transitions, and daily stressors.

Clinical Approach:

My goal is to help you move towards embodying your best self and greatest potential. To achieve this, my practice draws from evidence based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and person centered therapy. During our sessions, we will explore and reflect on what has and has not been working, and identify tools to self-regulate, communicate more effectively, and empower and maintain change. I am committed to providing a non judgmental, safe, and authentic therapeutic space, where we can work to build the resilience and confidence needed to continue navigating and embracing life.

Hobbies:

In my free time, you can find me exploring Wisconsin’s beautiful parks and beaches with my dogs, working on an art project, or creating a new recipe in the kitchen with my partner.
