More About Andrea Jegede
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests include providing a therapeutic space and experience for clients of all ages and backgrounds. I have enjoyed providing a wide variety of services for children, youth and adults. I also have interest in working with couples, families and supporting parents through the challenges that arise. I have experience in areas of depression, grief and loss, attachment, anxiety, trauma, adoption, children in foster care, reunifications, suicidal ideation, loss of health, and struggles in relationships.
Clinical Approach:
I seek to provide understanding, encouragement, support, insight, and help develop habits and connections that will enhance the lives of clients and their families. We are not our diagnosis or situation. Everyone struggles in one area or more throughout life. I am flexible in approaches based on client’s needs and preferences or interests including; cognitive behavioral, art, child play, family system, and problem solving therapies encouraging soothing and uplifting practices and offering prayer if requested. I strive to maintain an open mind learning from each client about what is healing and restorative for them. I highly value healing practices from a variety of cultures and do not believe there is only one right way to heal or live. Hopefully we can find your path of healing together.
Hobbies:
I enjoy lifting weights, yoga, Qi gong, music and baking. I have three adult children, several close friends and a high maintenance german pinscher. I enjoy seeking beauty and moments of peace in nature and walking my dog at her speedy pace. I am drawn to water views but have lived near the mountains. I love art, naps, and watching all kinds of shows including K dramas, new westerns, Turkish, Spanish, Japanese, South African, Hindi movies, and series from many countries. I am seeking peace, health and to serve in ways that benefit others.
