More About Ashton Linnum
Clinical Interests:
Primarily, I have worked with children and have had a majority of my experience with children who have trauma and behavioral issues. I do, however, have many interests in working with adults, specifically those who have been impacted by substance use, domestic violence, and those who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am excited to work with a range of individuals and am willing to work with those who have not yet been diagnosed. I have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, and autism.
Clinical Approach:
I am dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and safe space where you feel comfortable expressing your emotions and exploring your goals—no matter how challenging they may seem. My approach to therapy is collaborative, working with you and your support system to find meaningful and achievable ways to reach your objectives.
I am committed to continuous learning, integrating new theories and evidence-based practices to best support your unique needs. My goal is to tailor our work together to align with your comfort level, ensuring that therapy feels both effective and empowering. As a problem solver, I take pride in helping individuals and families navigate complex issues, fostering growth, resilience, and positive change.
I look forward to working alongside you on this journey of healing and self-discovery.
Hobbies:
When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me exploring a new restaurant, getting lost in a good book, or seeking out my next adventure. I love trying new experiences, whether it’s discovering a hidden gem in the city or finding the perfect hiking trail. Staying active is important to me, and I enjoy skiing, kayaking, hammocking, and hitting the gym to keep both my body and mind engaged.
I’m also a big animal lover and cherish time with my dog and frog. And if you’re a board game fan—let’s talk! I love incorporating games into therapy when relevant, so if you have a favorite, I’d love to hear about it.
