More About Bethany Ablan
Clinical Interests:
I became a therapist to walk with people through life’s challenges because I know the value of finding your voice, recognizing your inner strength, and learning tools to help you along the way. I support adolescents and adults with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal relationships.
Clinical Approach:
I know how hard it can be to take that first step into the therapy room. Therefore, I aim to create a safe and supportive therapeutic space for clients. Using humor and authentic connection I assist clients in seeing their strengths and gently guide them to recognize and work through any barriers that may interfere with their goals.
Mindfulness-based practice, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing are some modalities I utilize in my work with clients. However, recognizing that each of us is unique, I strive to meet each client where they are and use an integrative approach in my practice.
Hobbies:
Spending time in nature is one of my favorite things. You will often find me hiking in all seasons with my dog Kinley. I also enjoy developing my creativity through writing, crafting, reading, theater, and music.
