More About Britt Johnsen
Clinical Interests:
I am interested in working with individuals, couples and families from all walks of life. My clinical interests include mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, PTSD, CPTSD, trauma resolution, grief and loss, codependency, abuse, self-esteem, identity, family of origin, relationships, attachment disorders, sexuality, gender, spirituality, life transitions, stress management and work issues.
Clinical Approach:
I believe deeply in the power of holding a safe, non-judgmental space for your healing and expression. Ultimately, you are the expert on you, and I am here as a guide. My approach is evidence-based, strengths-based, person-centered and trauma-informed. The types of therapeutic approaches I use include psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic techniques, internal family systems, narrative therapy, Gestalt, and other approaches as needed.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing poetry, spending time with my family and friends, cooking, practicing yoga, being in nature, and doting on my two sweet cats, Mittens and Jupiter.
