More About Brittany Hallum
Clinical Interests:
I have previously worked with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also have background in Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. Currently, I have been gaining knowledge and skills in working with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am certified in Prepare/Enrich, which helps couples, married or not, gain skills to have successful and healthy relationships.
Clinical Approach:
My approach is a mixture of Adlerian and Systemic theories, as well as being person-centered. I believe experiences that clients have endured throughout their lives, have a part in who they are today. I also believe that clients are experts of their own lives, and we need to meet them where they are at. I believe that anyone is capable of change, but they have to want that change for themselves and to work for it. I believe that creating a strong therapeutic relationship is critical for change, and utilize kindness, compassion, and empathy with my clients.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have three children; 8, 3, and 1, who keep me quite busy. I also have a black lab named Asher. I enjoy doing really anything outdoors, playing mini golf, shopping, and swimming.
