More About Brooke Watts
Clinical Interests:
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Bethel University and my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Bethel Seminary. I am fascinated by communication and relational dynamics in couples and marriages. I have experience working with children to adults and focus my continuing education on adult issues such as Relational Distress, Divorce and Separation, Marital Conflict, Trauma and PTSD, Conflict Resolution, Codependency, and Stress Management.
Clinical Approach:
I enjoy getting to know my clients beyond the distress, understanding where they come from, and what coping skills work best for them. I work to create a neutral environment for individuals, couples, or families to express how they came to be in this conflict. Once we’ve established insight, I seek to lean into accepting a reframed reality or create new perspective to organize a solution.
Hobbies:
I enjoy being outdoors in a garden, playing volleyball indoors or outdoors, reading in my favorite coffee shop, and socializing with friends new and old. I dream about traveling the world, cooking all the way through my cookbook, and trying a caramel latte at every new coffee shop I come across!
