More About Bryzena Santos

Clinical Interests:

I received both my bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s in educational psychology with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I provide individual counseling to adults 18+ and my primary specialty areas include anxiety, depression/mood disorders, PTSD, self-esteem, and relationships.

Clinical Approach:

I take a person-centered approach to supporting clients toward increased life satisfaction. I believe clients are the expert of their life and together, we can work to create a map to get to where they want to go. The therapeutic modalities I primarily use are CBT, PE for PTSD and mindfulness-based practices. I also focus a lot on value exploration with clients to support them in moving toward, rather than away from what matters most to them.

Hobbies:

I look forward to free time spent with my family cooking, being silly, or doing activities together that make the little smile. I’m hoping to get back into my old pastimes of drawing and painting. In the meantime, escaping to the library to get a tangible copy of a book has been a simple pleasure.
