More About Cami Hambrock
Clinical Interests:
I have a variety of clinical interests that include anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, substance use, depression, adjustment and attachment difficulties, grief and loss, anger issues, relationship problems, and LGBTQ+ population. I have clinical experience working with kids, teens, and adults. Other areas of interests include sports counseling and I enjoy working with athletes and performance-related concerns.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach when helping individuals is holistic, person-centered, and revolves around advocacy. It is important, as a therapist, to foster a supportive environment so that clients I serve feel heard and validated, as well as advocating for clients and their needs. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, involving both the client and myself working together to identify areas of growth and solutions to help resolve the various conflicts and stressors in their life. My goal is to be intentional and make sure clients are working toward the goals they want to accomplish. I always ensure the therapeutic environment is warm, supportive, and encouraging when working with individuals and families because I believe fostering a welcoming and supportive environment is most beneficial for helping clients grow and achieve their goals. I utilize a variety of evidenced-based practices that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing (MI).
Hobbies:
I enjoy running, lifting, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and my dog. My hobbies include painting, drawing, and doing anything that involves the outdoors.
