More About Carson Beresford
Clinical Interests:
I have experience working in a clinical setting with adolescents experiencing a variety of concerns and issues. Some common diagnoses and concerns I have worked with include anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustments, relationship concerns, and interpersonal issues.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize a few different skills and techniques when working with clients, depending on the client’s needs. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also borrow techniques from Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. My main priority in working with clients is building a healthy working relationship. I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where my clients feel comfortable sharing and exploring their experiences.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy reading, visiting different coffee shops with my friends, doing the daily Wordle puzzles, and spending time with my pet bunny, Olive!
