Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is theoretical integration and client centered. I focus on the quality of the person to person therapeutic relationship with my clients to facilitate client awareness and emotional growth utilizing a compassionate, empathetic, and trauma informed approach. I utilize multiple approaches in a holistic manner in order to focus on utilizing an approach or combination of approaches that best fits each client and their individual circumstances. A few of the approaches I incorporate into my practice are; Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy- Prolonged Exposure, (DBT-PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
