More About Catrina Kempf
Clinical Interests:
My primary clinical interests are working with adolescents to young adults who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, student struggles, family dynamic difficulties, self-harm, and suicidal tendencies.
Clinical Approach:
I take a humanist approach that is focused on the client and what the client wants to achieve. We are all the experts of our own experiences and are doing the best we can with what we have. I draw from cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, emotionally-focused therapy and am always learning more theoretical approaches.
Hobbies:
When I am not counseling, I enjoy going for runs, taking my two dogs for a walk, enjoying a good book while lying in my hammock, and playing boards games with friends and family.
