More About Christian Wise
Clinical Interests:
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Communication, PTSD, and Personality Disorders. I am also interested in working with a variety of age groups from Adolescents to Older Adults. I am looking forward to working with a wide variety of different people from different backgrounds and with unique situations.
Clinical Approach:
I believe the most important thing to do is to understand my client first as a person. What their values are, what their background is and understanding their sense of identity, culture and purpose. Utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I aim to emphasize empathy within sessions, and after assessing the clients needs, I will make an effort to address mindfulness, cognitive processes, and emotional regulation throughout.
Hobbies:
I enjoy watching sports! American Football (Steelers & Texans), Soccer (Barcelona) and Basketball are the sports i tune into most often, but i like being able to understand the nuances of most sports. If there are no sports on, i usually enjoy going to public parks! As far as media goes, I enjoy watching anime or cooking shows featuring Gordon Ramsey (I love his accent!).
