More About Corinne Sjoberg

Clinical Interests:

I am passionate about helping young children develop skills and strategies to manage their emotions effectively. I understand the impact of trauma on the minds of our children and am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced trauma. I also believe working closely with families, parents/guardians enhance and foster healthy family dynamics. Involving the family system is crucial for the effective treatment of emotional and behavioral issues with children.

Clinical Approach:

I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help children and adolescents identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. This approach is also effective for managing anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation issues. Incorporating practical exercises, empowers children and families to practice new skills in their everyday lives. I also recognize that children express themselves through play. Play therapy can help children process their emotions and life experiences. Play therapy allows children to communicate in a natural and comfortable way while facilitating insights and emotional growth.

Hobbies:

I enjoy a variety of activities that contribute to my overall well-being and personal growth. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our children and their families.

We love being active grandparents. I also find relaxation in reading, gardening, fishing – and just spending time outdoors.
