More About Courtney Flink
Clinical Interests:
I have been surrounded by children my entire life. My mom ran an in-home daycare, and I have worked in the daycare/preschool setting for many years as well. I have always had a big heart for children. Working in the daycare/preschool setting, I never felt I was helping as much as I could. Which is what compelled me to pursue my Master in Clinical Psychology. I want to be able to help as many kiddos as I am able to.
Clinical Approach:
I am a firm believer in building a strong foundation between Client and Therapist. Relationships and trust are so important, especially in children. The stronger the relationship and trust between me and the kiddos, the better chance I have at being successful in helping them. I also strongly believe that it does take a village to raise a child, and therapy is no different. All parties involved have to be on the same page in order to be successful.
Every client is different, therefore the approach I take will always be specific to each kiddo.
Hobbies:
I absolutely LOVE dogs. If I could have a lot of land it would be filled with dogs. I currently only have one dog, he is basically my child and is a big Black Lab, German Shepard. I also, love to hunt and fish and be outdoors. Aside from all of that, I enjoy reading and also really enjoy learning. I truly strive to learn something new every day and don’t believe the saying you CAN’T teach an old dog new tricks. I believe you are never too old, or too young to learn.
