More About Danyelle Caliguire
Clinical Interests:
Clientele: Ages 7+, with special focus on children and adolescents. Specialties: anxiety, depression, addiction and co-occurring disorders, parenting issues, relational issues, attachment and abandonment issues, adoption, self-esteem issues, family therapy, couples counseling.
Clinical Approach:
My therapy approach is fairly laid-back and person-centered. I am also fairly non-directive; I believe therapy is YOUR time and it is important to address the issues you bring to session. I strive to achieve an environment in which you feel safe with me so we can work together to create the change you are looking for. I take a holistic approach, with the understanding that the mind-body connection is very real, so you must nurture both. Mental illness and life’s problems do not occur in isolation, nor do their solutions. I work from a systems approach, which means I see everyone as part of the bigger system, including your family unit, friend group, and your community. I specialize in relationships, be it between family members (especially parent-child), friends, or romantic relationships. I believe it is these connections that help shape us to be who we are, and they impact our mental well-being.
Hobbies:
Spending time with family, especially my daughter and watching TV with my husband. I’m a bit of a nerd and I like anime, cartoons, Marvel and DC movies, and comedies.
