More About Darren Lane
Clinical Interests:
I work with life adjustment stress, depression and anxiety regularly. I enjoy working with; people managing mental health concerns along with developmental disabilities, people working to maintain Schizophrenia spectrum symptoms, people that have LBTQIA+ elements that need to be respected when addressing mental health, and people managing symptoms of trauma in their history.
Clinical Approach:
I approach each client with their goal in mind. We co-create the plans and symptoms to address. I use CBT and Adlerian foundations with a person centered focus. There are elements of Behavior Analysis to help keep track of the progress, and the understanding that symptoms don’t improve at a steady rate. Sometimes there are steps backward, and from those we learn and improve the skills you take with you.
Hobbies:
I grew up in the twin cities and surrounding suburbs and love living here. I’m a fan of public park programs year round; movies, cultural shows, music, snow kites and the winter loppet. I spend time with family and friends often outside. I do enjoy games and scifi/fantasy media.
