More About Dominique Jackson
Clinical Interests:
Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Marriage & Couples, Families, Relationship Issues, , Adolescence (16+), PTSD & Trauma, OCD, DBT
Clinical Approach:
I am a firm believer of the patient being behind the wheel on their therapeutic journey while I am there, passenger side, as the navigator providing guidance. I meet my patients where they are at and build off of their strengths to increase their self-esteem, knowledge, and well-being. The patient-counselor relationship is very important to me, and I do my best to create a space where guards can be let down and vulnerability is welcomed through a person-centered approach.
Hobbies:
I love listening to live music whenever I can. Whether it’s at the Xcel Energy Center or a small bar where they are playing an acoustic set, count me in! I also enjoy reading, hanging out on the couch with a good show/movie, listening to podcasts, journaling, running, and lifting. If I am not doing any of these activities, I am spending time with my friends, family, or my partner.
