More About Emily Stevens
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with with adolescents and young adults with a range of diagnoses. I also enjoy working with teens and parents in our Dialectical Behavior Therapy program. My specialties include anxiety, depression, adolescent issues, college and student issues, grief and loss, spirituality and women’s issues.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize mindfulness techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy and DBT skills. I am also part of the DBT team and enjoy teaching and coaching individuals and families with DBT skills. I hope to provide a safe space in the therapy room for individuals to work toward their own life worth living. I believe that consistent time and effort on the therapeutic relationship will be meaningful to each individual’s experience and thus welcome feedback and encourage autonomy with your own treatment.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time outside with my family, trying new cuisines and restaurants, cheering on my favorite sports teams, and learning more about the world and the people in it.
