More About Emma Snyder

Clinical Interests:

Experience working with adolescents, especially teenagers, adults, and families. Experience working with issues such as: Family/Relational Conflict, Anxiety and Depression, Suicidal Ideation/Intrusive Thoughts, ADHD, Autism, Neurodivergence, School Success, Prader Willi Syndrome, Foster Youth, Attachment issues, Adjustment issues, LGBTQ+ population, Domestic Violence, Trauma, Grief, Cultural Identity, Religious/Spiritual issues, Perinatal Mental Health

Clinical Approach:

I utilize an eclectic approach in therapy. I often gravitate towards cognitive behavioral, solutions focused, internal family systems, and narrative based approaches. I combine elements of CBT, mindfulness, expressive arts, and somatic based interventions into sessions. Overall I utilize a social and restorative justice, feminist, biopsychosocial, and ecological systems lens in my engagement with clients, taking into consideration all of the exterior situations they may be involved in such as family/relational dynamics, cultural considerations, and environmental factors that may be contributing to their mental health.

Hobbies:

In my free time I enjoy writing, creating art, playing music (currently relearning the violin!), baking, being outdoors- hiking, paddleboarding, rollerblading, yoga, and spending time with friends, family, and my cat Ra.
