More About Eric Letvin
Clinical Interests:
I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and situations throughout my clinical practicum and hope to continue that here at Nystrom. I have a strong interest in helping individuals with generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, adjustment disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorders, and more. I enjoy working with couples navigating a variety of life circumstances as well as individuals of all ages including the full spectrum of demographics – age, race, gender, faith, and sexuality.
Clinical Approach:
My approach is collaborative. I want to understand the person and see them where they are in that moment. I believe that the most fruitful therapeutic relationships are built on trust. I employ a mixture of cognitive behavioral techniques as well as solution-focused methods to help individuals better understand their situation and the underlying circumstances in order to create a path forward. I incorporate DBT skills and exercises to equip them to live a more fulfilling life.
Hobbies:
I have an amazing wife and beautiful daughter as well as a hyperactive little dog. I love music, both listening and playing. My wife and I enjoy traveling and new adventures. And I am, unfortunately, a forever-disappointed Minnesota sports fan, especially the Vikings!
