More About Hannah Ricks
Clinical Interests:
Many of my clients have experienced loss through traumatic experiences, the death of loved ones, or relationships ending. I have a special interest in helping people who have lost religious community, or who have left high-demand groups. However, I work with clients across the spectrum of religiosity, and I strongly believe in a person’s right to self-determination. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Clinical Approach:
My counseling approach is warm, empathic, and relational. I offer EMDR for trauma processing and compassionate inquiry, which guides clients into their bodies, increasing their connection with themselves. I have a holistic, non-pathologizing perspective
Hobbies:
I love being with people. My favorite pastimes are long conversations with friends, walking the dog with my partner, and supporting my kids in developing their interests. I love dancing, swimming, and crisp apples.
