Clinical Interests:
Working with a wide variety of people including individuals, couples and families who are seeking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life and their relationships with each other. Able to work with those experiencing: Agoraphobia, Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Panic Attack, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Counseling, Social Anxiety, Stress Management, Relationship/Marriage conflict, Family relationship conflict, Grief, Dissociative Identity Disorder and anxiety.
Clinical Approach:
Seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their backgrounds and the strengths they already possess to provide an individualized approach. Heather believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of therapy and creating lasting change. Through this alliance, she partners with her clients to explore and address thought and behavior patterns, generational aspects, societal influences and expectations that serve as barriers to enjoying life fully. She also believes that each person possesses the ability and capacity to bring lasting change to their life and that they alone can define and determine what a enjoying life fully means.
Hobbies:
On time off, Heather enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading, writing short stories, watching movies, listening to music, playing video games, painting, sewing, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, learning and trying new things and exploring new places.
