More About Hope Wickert
Clinical Interests:
I work with all individuals (ages 4+) regardless of their cultural identity and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I enjoy working with kids and adolescents with various struggles relating to attachment, anxiety, depression, trauma, attention/inattention, and those who have an autism spectrum diagnosis. I also enjoy working with adults who struggle with symptoms relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and stress management. I have previous experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize person-centered techniques, letting the client lead their treatment and progress. I also utilize solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and DBT techniques. For those who have trauma related symptoms, I utilize Brainspotting which is a form treatment for processing trauma. For the kids I work with, I utilize play therapy. My main goal in the therapeutic setting is to provide a safe and comfortable environment and to adapt to my clients needs.
Hobbies:
Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family, pups, and spending time outdoors! When it’s too cold to be outside, I love cuddling up with my pups and watching a romantic-comedy classic.
