More About Isabel Shafer
Clinical Interests:
I am interested in working with adults and couples to help grow, learn, and live happy lives. I have previously worked with children and families who have faced trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other mental health struggles. I helped children and families process and accept their concerns and how they have been impacted. In my therapeutic work, I have a great deal of experience with helping children understand emotions and how to cope with them.
Clinical Approach:
With a systemic perspective on my therapeutic work, I emphasize the importance of relationships, community, society, and everything in between. I tailor my approach to each individual and family system, but I am drawn to Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Also, I can incorporate mindfulness and meditation into my therapeutic work.
Hobbies:
I enjoy photography, taking my dog to the dog park, and playing volleyball.
