More About Jacinta Putnam
Clinical Interests:
I have several years of experience working with children and adults who may struggle with issues of trauma, grief / loss, anxiety, suicidal ideation / crisis, self-esteem, anger management, depression, and parenting. These areas have all become my clinical specialties but I’m especially passionate about working with children, to assist them with the skills they may need to overcome family / relationship issues and various issues of mental illness.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize a person-centered approach, mostly focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy skills & techniques. I can also be flexible with the skills and techniques in order to meet the needs of a client. I’ve found that incorporating reframing, mindfulness, & stress management techniques are especially helpful with a wide range clients. It is also very beneficial to educate clients on exactly what their diagnosis is and best ways to move forward in treatment.
Hobbies:
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading and being outdoors– going for walks, gardening, fishing, boating, and having bonfires.
