Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests include providing services to individuals ranging from Age 6 through early adulthood. I have provided services to individuals, groups and families for the past 11 years in a variety of settings: in-home, day treatment programs, outpatient office settings, higher education and public schools. This has given me experience with people of many ages and diverse family backgrounds with a wide variety of struggles and comorbidity. Some of these mental health concerns have included depression, anxiety and mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, trauma, history of abuse, comorbidity, significant life transitions, grief / loss and family issues.
Clinical Approach:
I focus on meeting clients where they are at using a clinical approach that is eclectic drawing from a variety of evidence based therapeutic methods. These methods include but are not limited to: Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills such as mindfulness skills, motivational interviewing, Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Emotion Focused Therapy. I believe in Focusing on individual’s strengths by using commitment and energy to creatively inspire, encourage and empower them to utilize their skills and understand the impact of their social environment.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, being outdoors in nature walking, hiking, biking, gardening, fishing, camping, paddle boarding and anything on the water and in the sunshine. I also enjoy coaching youth softball, basketball and volleyball and playing softball myself.
