More About Jennifer McNertney
Clinical Interests:
My practice includes work with individual adults aged 18 and up who have experienced a range of concerns and who may or may not have a formal diagnosis. I have knowledge and skill in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, psychosis, stress management, grief and loss, and addiction, among others.
Clinical Approach:
My practice is guided by the principle that “everyone has everything they need in them to heal” (Frank Anderson, MD). We will work together to access your inner wisdom to facilitate healing. As appropriate, our work will integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) tools, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and guided meditation, among other modalities.
Hobbies:
I enjoy reading genre fiction (the more escapist the better!), hiking, music, roller skating, and hitting drums!
