More About Jill Storm

We spend a lot of our lives trying to be who others want us to be or who we imagine ourselves to be. But if we put aside those expectations, who are we? Who can we become? I consider it a great privilege to sit with clients and help them peel back the layers of themselves. This can be a painful process. It can also lead to a more enriching present and future.

This is a second career for me. Prior to this, I was an historian. I loved learning about the lives of people who lived decades and centuries earlier. I spent years in libraries and archives trying to understand what motivated individuals and how their values and cultures shaped them. I bring this same curiosity and nuance into the therapy space. Let’s explore together not only who you are and what molded you into that person but also who you want to become.

I have a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I also have a PhD in history, a master’s degree in Jewish Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in German. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and open. My therapeutic approach is humanistic and collaborative. You are the expert of your own thoughts and experiences. I am there to guide you through this challenging but rewarding process.
