More About Kate Cox
Clinical Interests:
I work with kids, adolescents, and young adults (ages 5-21) providing individual counseling. My interests include ADHD/ADD, behavior issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, health/medical issues, adolescent issues, grief and loss.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in developing a strong therapeutic relationship with the kids and adolescents. I work to create a safe environment where individuals can explore feelings and emotions as well as talk about their concerns. I am a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral therapist who focuses on the strengths of the individual. I also utilize person-center care, behavior modification, and problem solving strategies to promote change.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love traveling, biking, volunteering and the outdoors. When I’m not at work, you can find me on the sidelines cheering at cross county meets, track meets, soccer, and hockey games.
