More About Kate Picard
Clinical Interests:
I work primarily with adolescents and adults on an individual basis. I’ve worked with a wide range of presenting concerns, in a variety of different settings. I have niche knowledge working with anxiety and depression, maladaptive relational behaviors, and problematic substance use.
Clinical Approach:
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, combined with Person-Centered principles. In session, I work to foster an environment of unconditional positive regard, authenticity and trust. I strongly believe in the power of mindfulness, and implement mindfulness techniques whenever helpful. I help clients build their toolbox of coping skills to utilize to address their presenting concern, and meet the challenges of day-to-day life.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking and being outdoors! After-work and on weekends you can find me hanging out and going for long walks with my chocolate labs.
