More About Katelyn (Katie) Weber
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests include working with teenagers and young adults, specifically members of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of my specialties include client-led therapy, trauma-informed therapies, geek therapy, and working with children and adolescents as well as running social skills groups. I value and believe in the power of the clinical relationship and helping clients to define and identify goals that will have meaningful change in their lives.
Clinical Approach:
I describe my approach as very client centered and client driven while using trauma-informed modalities and CBT modalities. I meet every client I work with at their level and engage with them in whatever forms they feel comfortable whether that be having sessions sitting on the floor and drawing or discussing how Harry Potter impacts their life. I focus on trauma-informed and strengths-based therapies. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), psychoeducation, mindfulness, gender and sexuality inclusivity, and body-positive therapies.
Hobbies:
Personally, I absolutely love stories and I am an avid reader in my free time! I also enjoy watching movies, baking, listening to movies, playing Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons, spending time with family, and going to state parks!
