More About Kathleen Lowry
Clinical Interests:
Anxiety, depression, anger, grief, scapegoating, narcissistic abuse, identity formation, attachment, parenting, self-esteem, motivation, and life transitions and decision-making, life purpose topics.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is one that focuses on carefully understanding my clients’ cultural background, life experiences, sense of identity, values, and beliefs, and how they affect what they want to work on in sessions. You are in charge. Together, we find approaches that help you feel better, or just feel heard and seen.
Optional approaches include mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral tweaks, assertiveness practice, self-esteem building, inner child work, clarifying needs and wants, relationship skills, expanding choices, community building, EMDR, tapping, and what we call emotional channel clearing, humor, and more.
I am down-to-earth, encouraging, validating, and optimistic that we’ll have some success.
Hobbies:
I like to hang out with friends, do anything outdoors, tutor kids, play with puppies, and try to slowly learn both the guitar, and always more psychology.
