More About Katie Pribyl
Clinical Interests:
I work creatively to engage clients of all ages (5 and up). I enjoy working with life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, stress management, work life balance, social anxiety, self-esteem, adolescent and early adulthood issues, and childhood disorders. I see individuals, parent-child pairs, and families.
Clinical Approach:
I believe that what makes life worth living is a sense of connection. Whether that be to oneself, to others, or to the world around us. Many things get in the way of creating and maintaining these connections. Sometimes such difficulties are within our control to change and sometimes they are not. I’m here to help you determine what is getting in the way of your sense of connection and harness the strength to change what you can and and accept what you cannot.
Throughout this journey I will utilize a person-centered approach, meaning that I will never judge you or your experience, but instead will seek to fully understand your thoughts and feelings. I will also incorporate techniques from experiential, emotionally-focused, and attachment-based therapy to best serve each unique client. My clients tell me that I create a comfortable environment where they feel cared for and listened to.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my puppy Bodie, going for walks, traveling, and spending time with the people I love. I am interested in the mind-body connection and enjoy learning about and practicing yoga, meditation, and other healing practices.
