More About Katrina Gruber
Clinical Interests:
I am very passionate about working with people of all experiences and ages. I especially am passionate about working with children and adolescents and have the most experience working with the adolescent age group. I am interested in treating mental disorders and symptoms such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, autism-spectrum disorder, personality disorders, and more. I also have experience with family therapy.
Clinical Approach:
I acknowledge that all individuals are different and have different experiences, so I work to best understand you and your specific needs. I believe it is important to meet you where you are at. In doing so, I come from a person-centered and trauma-informed lens. I want to help explore how your experiences have impacted you and work to reduce the negative impacts going forward. With this, I am psychodynamic in my approach. I also utilize DBT to give you the tools to better cope with the difficulties in your life.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods, exploring sites around me, hiking, going to the zoo, and spending time with my friends and family. I am a big lover of animals and have had pets throughout my life of many different species.
