More About Larissa Rich
Clinical Interests:
I have previously worked with adults in an inpatient setting and children in the school setting. I have experience working with diagnoses such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder- GAD, Major Depressive Disorder- MDD, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder- PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder- ASD, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder-ADHD. I am open to working with clients of all ages but have a strong interest in working with children and their families. It has always been my goal to help children live their best life possible.
Clinical Approach:
I use solution-focused therapy with a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy skills and narrative therapy interventions at times. I believe in building a strong and trusting client-provider relationship. My goal is to meet clients where they are at and help them achieve their goals in the best way possible. I truly believe in forming a collaborative relationship between the client and therapist rather than the therapist being seen as the “expert” with all the answers.
Hobbies:
In my free time, you can probably find me coaching cheerleading at the Alexandria Area High School, spending time with my fiancé and our 3 dogs, or painting my nails. I also enjoy attending Twins games during the summer and I love collecting Christmas decorations.
