More About Laura Heinsch
Clinical Interests:
I have an interest in human development as I find it fascinating to learn how one develops strength throughout the life stages. With this interest comes a desire to work with all generations: from child to older adult.
My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, relational struggles, trauma, religious/spiritual trauma, and women’s issues.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in the importance of relationships for healing. The therapeutic relationship provides an alliance to help one navigate their healing journey. It is important to build trust and for the individual to discover empowerment which helps them navigate the complexity of life.
Hobbies:
I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s gardening, going for walks or runs, or relaxing by a water view. However, the winter finds me longing for cozy hibernation sessions with a good book and warm drink.
There’s no place like home for me. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, two kids, and furry companions (two dogs: Duke and Pearl). As a family, we enjoy making homemade pizzas and watching a movie, a show (our favorites: Survivor and Young Sheldon), or a Disney tourist vlog.
Since moving to Minnesota in 2019, I have found so much to love about this state. My husband and I enjoy venturing out to discover the best pizza places in the Twin Cities. I also love all the outdoor beauty that Minnesota has to offer!
