Clinical Interests:

Lauren completed undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay where she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and Human Development. Lauren received her Master’s of Science and Education in Professional Counseling, emphasizing in Clinical Mental Health. Lauren has 8 years’ experience in the mental health field spanning multiple levels of care: inpatient, adult partial hospitalization, children/adolescent day treatment, homeless shelters, intensive outpatient treatment, group therapy, and outpatient therapy. Lauren specializes in substance abuse and addiction in addition to work with mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety-based disorders, and processing life’s transitions.

Clinical Approach:

Lauren utilizes a person-centered approach to all of her clients as to foster a collaborative process, allowing the patient to have an equal say in their treatment. Lauren utilizes techniques from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) during sessions. Lauren also offers various skills for patient to utilize for themselves to tackle issues related to conflict resolution, motivation, communication, interpersonal skills, relationships, boundaries, and coping skills/grounding. Lauren strives to meet patients where they are currently at to utilize their personal strengths as to foster growth.

Hobbies:

Lauren likes to spend her time with her partner and her adopted French Bulldog, Bruce. Lauren enjoys competing with her partner in Mario Kart/Party, playing board/card games, and likes to join her friends playing both general and themed Trivia. Lauren’s favorite form of self-care is karaoke/singing whenever she can. Lauren has a deep interest in music and loves going to live shows in town or is willing to travel to see her favorite band/artist. Lauren loves all things Lord of the Rings, Ravenclaw, and Dungeons and Dragons. Lauren loves to travel with her partner and calls Iceland her second home.
