More About Megan Patterson
Clinical Interests:
I work with adults and adolescents dealing with issues including: anxiety, trauma, PTSD, shame, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, LGBT issues (I’m an ally), body image, stress management, life transitions, women’s issues, self esteem, bipolar, relationship issues, personal growth and spiritual exploration.
Clinical Approach:
I like to use a collaborative approach in my work with clients. I believe in building on one’s strengths and accepting individuals as they are, while working toward personal growth. I believe we all deserve to know and feel a sense of worthiness. I believe that our past (positive and negative) influences our present, and that by learning from or resolving past experiences, we can be more present and satisfied in our daily lives. I incorporate EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and other approaches into my work with clients.
Hobbies:
I love traveling, being outside in all the Minnesota seasons, and spending time with my family.
