More About Meghan Schweinhagen
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with older teens, young adults, and adults with various diagnoses and life challenges. Some of these include Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment/Life Transitions, Mood Disorders, Young Adult issues, communication and relationship struggles. I have extra training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Clinical Approach:
I approach each of my clients as unique individuals and work with them to tailor their treatment to best meet their needs. My experience and personality lead to a more solution focused and person centered approach. I like to include skill development and problem solving into sessions to help my clients learn ways to manage their mental health long term. I believe it is important to not just work on current struggles but to learn to better manage and address emotions and life situations in the future.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and two cats. I am an avid reader and enjoy board game days with friends.
