More About Melanie Waller
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with people from all different backgrounds. I am passionate about working with adults with issues related to adoption, anxiety, grief and loss, postpartum mental health, relationship dynamics, coping skills, life transitions, and family/relational conflict. If faith and spirituality are part of your story, we can incorporate that into our work together.
Clinical Approach:
Because everyone has their own story, my approach varies depending on the person I am working with. My primary practice includes strengths-based perspective, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and a Family Systems approach. I believe each person is the expert of their own lives and therefore my goal is to come alongside my clients to use a combination of these approaches based on your unique situation and figure out how these approaches can fit into the knowledge and skills you already possess. Overall, I want my clients to find hope, healing and be empowered for change.
Hobbies:
I love making and enjoying good coffee, reading, physical movement (walking, exercise, playing Pickleball), trying new recipes, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my husband, family and friends!
