Clinical Approach:

I believe all of us need others to walk alongside us as we experience the joys and challenges of life. I see individuals as unique and from a strengths perspective – that we use our strengths to assist us throughout hardships we experience.

I see the therapeutic experience as a partnership where the individual seeking services is the expert in themselves. I work alongside them to support, provide feedback, appropriately motivate, and assist them in making their own decisions that are best for them as an individual. I generally utilize skills from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) modalities. I utilize Play Therapy when appropriate and have a Trauma-Informed approach. In addition, pinpointing coping skills that help us process stress is another tool I frequently reference and use to support clients.

I support spaces that are welcoming for all people: LGBTQIA+, varied abilities, all shapes and sizes, BIPOC, diversity in religion/spirituality, ages, etc. All people matter and our communities are made more wonderful when diversity is present and welcomed.

Hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. Connecting with family and friends is my favorite pastime. My favorite ways to relax are going for walks, being outdoors, laying in a hammock, and being goofy with my children. I enjoy drinking coffee and eating ice cream. I love to laugh.
