Clinical Interests:
I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, personality Disorders, and behavioral issues. I also work with adolescents struggling with regulating emotions, have life threatening behaviors, and/or difficulty communicating needs and wants effectively.
Clinical Approach:
I use a variety of clinical approaches depending on where the client is at in their journey towards wellness. These approaches include strength-based and solution-focused collaboratively exploring how to improve a client’s overall functioning. I am strongly influenced by the therapeutic approach of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and examining the impact of biological traits and environment have on ones life and the behaviors displayed. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Hobbies:
I enjoy learning about new things, reading, the practice of yoga, biking, and trail running.
