More About Shianne Dzvonick
Clinical Interests:
I have been working in the field of therapy for two years now. Most of my experience, pre- therapeutic work, is in the realm of childhood and adolescents. Symptoms and diagnoses I address include, depression, anxiety, ASD, and ADHD. When working with adults, I use the approach of Psychodynamics coupled with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe seeing into our pasts can help us thoroughly understand our adult selves, although clarity isn’t always the solution. Given that, I apply CBT practices to help fix our negative thought patterns to improve our behaviors and thus improving our emotions.
Clinical Approach:
I work from the mindset of, we cant fix the world, but we can learn to cope with it. Some techniques I endorse are, mindfulness, coping skills building, play therapy, and art therapy.
Hobbies:
Some hobbies I enjoy include art, cooking, move watching, and all things self- care!
