More About Stacy Stanley

Clinical Interests:

I specialize in working with adolescents and couples. I work with adolescents struggling with ADHD and symptoms of self-esteem, emotion regulation, adjusting to peer and family relationship struggles, and/or attachment issues. With couples, my goal is to increase a secure connection between partners by helping them become aware of the negative patterns that keeps them stuck.

I have experience with ADHD, relationship issues, adoption, family conflict, self-esteem, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression and stressful life transitions.

My expanding interests include body image positivity and neurodivergent support.

Clinical Approach:

I approach therapy as a process driven, experiential, collaborative and person-centered. That means, I view you as a whole person whose mental health is impacted by your relationship with self, others, and the communities around you. I work with you to find your personal strengths so that you can build resilience and make positive life changes. I integrate mind-body strategies to connect the whole person and awaken your mind-heart connection. One of the ways I prioritize connection with mind-body, is to have sensory tools and objects in my space. You are allowed to explore and engage in these sensory tools when needed.

With couples and adults, my approach is viewed through an attachment lens and emotionally-focused. We will work together to help identify the cycle that keeps your relationship from having a secure bond.

When working with teens, my approach is integrative and viewed through an attachment lens. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and depending on the adolescent’s needs, sensory-based interventions and art therapy to help clients express themselves when words don’t fit.

The space I provides is safe, affirming, and inclusive. My overarching goal is to empower you to increase your self-awareness and build an improved connection with self, family, community and your nature.

Hobbies:

I enjoy pretty much any sensory-based activity like art making, gardening, biking, hiking and watching nature in all of its mysterious wonder.
