More About Susanne Wesle
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with individuals ages 5 and up with a variety of life’s needs. Some areas I have worked with include major depressive disorder (MDD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, improving communication, life skills, adjusting to major life changes, grief and loss, and level 1 autism spectrum disorder (ASD). I work with a variety of demographics (i.e. age, race, gender, religion, LGBTQIA+)
Clinical Approach:
“We don’t receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.” – Marcel Proust
You may have to take that journey, but you do not have to do it alone. As a therapist, I believe it is my role to support you as you go through your personal journey. As each journey is unique so is the approach that is used in the therapy room. I incorporate a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Art Therapy skills, and more. I have a certificate in Play Therapy, and I have taken extra training in treating trauma. My goal is to meet you where you are at, help you find what you need and send you on confidently your way.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I spend time with my family and going to see the many nieces and nephews at their many activities. In between family events, I enjoy indulging my creative side. In the summer, it is spent in my yard working with the plants and on many landscaping projects! In the rainy weather and winter, I like to paint, sew, and explore other crafts.
