Clinical Interests:
I work with individuals age 18 and up experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma – Acute stress disorder, Trauma & Stressor Related Disorder, PTSD and Complex PTSD, grief, loss, and life transitions.
Clinical Approach:
There are several areas clinically that I utilize in therapy. These approaches include EMDR for Trauma, PTSD, cognitive-behavioral therapy for adjustment and change, DBT informed, narrative therapy, and strength based. I develop a therapeutic alliance with clients and collaborate to develop the best approach to improve overall strengths and functioning. The lens I view therapy is through a client’s developmental experiences, providing solution focused therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have been a Licensed School Counselor in Minnesota and have an Addictions base of knowledge and experience. My specialty is trauma and EMDR.
Hobbies:
I enjoy swimming, bicycling with friends, nature hikes, gardening, travel and getting together with family. Time spent with our springer spaniel is the best!
