More About Tara De La Rosa
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests are diverse and include serving individuals with mood disorders, including bipolar, depression and anxiety, schizophreniform disorders, trauma, and children and adolescents. I have experiences in crisis services as well. I have found community based services to be highly beneficial for clients and their families. As a clinician, it aids me in understanding them better to see how they are in a home or school environment, and clients are better able to practice and generalize skills and tools they learn in clinical work to their everyday lives. In addition, I also have experience and a passion for crisis services and utilizing community resources to support clients and their families to resolve crises peacefully and connect them with services that will be most helpful in returning to their own “normal.”
Clinical Approach:
I primarily work from a Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical-Behavioral framework, but also draw on techniques and concepts from narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy as well. Skills in daily living activities are also a part of my work.
Hobbies:
I love to spend time with my 3 cats and my dog, and with my husband. I enjoy reading, going to the lake, and outdoors activities such as hiking, boating, paddle-boarding, and gardening. On rainy days, I love to curl up on the couch and stream anime or watch YouTube.
